Visitation Policy
Visiting hours are by appointment only, 10:00 a.m - 10:00 p.m.
While we recognize the importance of support from family and friends to our patients in the hospital, patient care is our primary concern. That's why
VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital has established specific visiting hours and regulations. Our staff understands how valuable and important your visit is so we ask that you make your appointment in advance so that we have time to set up your patient comfortably in the visitation room for your convenience.
Intensive Care Unit
Due to the seriousness of a patient's condition while in our Intensive Care Unit, only immediate family is allowed to visit. All visits will be in our visitation room unless the care of the patient warrants no movement. If a patient cannot be moved due to medical reason the visit in ICU will be limited to 20 minutes and only 2 visitors at a time, please. It will be up to the ICU manager to use discretion when visiting is scheduled due to unforeseen emergencies within this department:
ICU Visitation Hours:
Daytime: Noon - 2:00 p.m.
Evenings: 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
